The self rater survey is a survey created to help you improve your leadership skills through both self evaluation and feedback from those you work closely with. It includes high and low self-scores to indicate your perception about your skill set in specific areas, worksheets to help you create a simple, actionable improvement plan, and evaluation of your competencies in five systems: the individual, the family, the business, the organization and the learning system.

The survey is designed for any leader in a family business-- both family and non-family leaders-- who wants to develop their leadership skills and demonstrate their leadership capacity.

Yes, of course. Your responses may change over time as you develop your skills in one or more of the 5 systems: family, business, ownership, learning, or individual. Also, as your roles change (e.g., from family to owner) your responses may change.

Yes, of course. All of us need a coach or consultant at times. The strength of your team will determine the probability of your success. We have a cadre of expert consultants. You can schedule a 15-min complimentary session to talk more about this here. 

This depends on your personal situation. Some leaders re-take the survey quarterly, or annually, or every time they are considering a new role. We do know that leaders need to practice leadership, just as physicians practice medicine. We encourage you to work with a coach or consultant so that you can develop these new behaviors as quickly as possible.
